Riverfront Roar thankful for community’s support

The Marietta Riverfront Roar board of directors and committee would like to thank the sponsors, patrons, volunteers, vendors and the community for supporting the 14th annual Roar. In addition, this event would not be possible without the support and cooperation of the Marietta and Williamstown city administrators, police, fire and street departments. We greatly appreciate their efforts along with the U.S. Coast Guard and the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources in helping make our event as safe as possible for drivers and fans alike.

Each year, we follow our tradition of partnering with nonprofit community organizations. As a result of these partnerships, the 2014 Riverfront Roar was able to provide the Washington County Harvest of Hope the amount of $532, the Humane Society of Washington County the amount of $890 and the Scholarship Fund of the Upward Bound Program at WSCC the amount of $890. We thank these great organizations for their volunteers and their assistance.

Thank you again to all who supported our annual event and we look forward to seeing you for the 15th Annual Marietta Riverfront Roar on July 10-12, 2015. As we begin our planning for next year, we encourage community members to join the Roar committee. We have many volunteer opportunities.
