Support of L-A fire dept. greatly appreciated

The L-A Fire and Rescue social held on July 19 was a success. The support we receive not only at the social but also throughout the year is appreciated. Saying a simple thank you to all who helped and supported our annual fundraiser does not seem to express our sincere appreciation to each and every one who had a part of another successful ice cream social.

I want to give a special thank you to the members of the L-A Fire & Rescue who spent many hours preparing for the social, not to mention all the hours they donate of their time training and completing many hours on emergency runs throughout the year. The support from the fire department auxiliary is definitely a key to a successful social.

Thank you to those who attended our event and to those who could not but supported us by your donations of money, merchandise for our country store, donations of pies and cakes, or the purchase of raffle tickets. We regret we cannot mention each and every one of you in this letter.

Fire departments are a necessary organization in a community to respond to the needs of the residents in a time of emergency. This is made possible because of all of you who help L-A Fire & Rescue.
