Tennis group thankful for help of volunteers
The Marietta Area Community Tennis Association (MACTA) would like to express our sincere gratitude to the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who generously donated of time and labor on Saturday, Aug. 23, to the MACTA project to restore the city of Marietta’s tennis facilities at Lookout Park.
The restoration project involved the crack repair of two tennis courts, the painting of the chainlink fence posts and top rails surrounding the courts and the staining of benches and tables. Collectively our group of 60 people contributed over 230 man-hours of labor to this effort and hundreds of dollars of materials.
These much needed repairs help the city maintain their facilities and will benefit all those in our local Marietta community that use these tennis facilities.
