Thanks for the help with Swap, Drop, and Pick-up
This is a note of thanks and an update to all of the following who donated and helped our family with the Swap, Drop, and Pick-up on Aug. 9. My mother, Shirley Williams and I decided to hold this drive and my sister, Diane Gore, also helped with the clothes for the children. Fifty-three students of the community were given school supplies and clothing. Thanks again to all who helped make it possible for the children of the community to start out the new school year with these needed items. We plan to do it again next year in June or July.
We first want to give special thanks to Matamoras Fire Department for use of building, and James Addlesburger for opening and closing for us.
Special thanks to those who donated school supplies: Walmart in New Martinsville, W.Va., State Route 7 Auction House, (Bobby Johnson), Aldeco Motel, New Frontier Restaurant, Matmoras Hardware, Stephanie Beaver, Levi Williams, all of New Matamoras, Diane Gore, of Proctor, W.Va., and Patricia and Dave Blake, of Sardis.
Thanks for clothes donations and more from Frank and Nancy Prestandrea of Newport, Ohio, Shirley Williams, Brian Smith, and Creightons Sports Shop, of New Matamoras, and Alexia Ogrady, and Whitney Pope.
Door prize was given to Chris Corea, of New Matamoras. The leftover items were taken to Goodwill.
