I have been a practicing attorney in Washington County for over 35 years, during which time I have had almost daily contact with the Washington County Auditor’s Office. During that time, I have always found the auditor’s employees to be friendly, courteous and very competent and knowledgeable. Matthew Livengood is one of those employees. I have had the pleasure to know and work with Livengood since he was hired as chief deputy auditor in January 2013. Livengood is now seeking election to become the next Washington County Auditor and is a candidate who has my full support.

There are many qualities Livengood possesses that make him a perfect candidate for auditor. Being dependable, trustworthy, professional, intelligent and honest are qualities that I have seen exhibited by Livengood over the time I have known him. The experience that he has gained over the past five plus years as chief deputy auditor will be invaluable in ensuring that the auditor’s office continues to operate in the courteous and efficient manner it has in the past. In addition to serving Washington County as chief deputy auditor, Livengood also serves his country as a captain in the Army Reserves.
