Writer agrees that TV is riddled with violence

In the June 13 edition of the Marietta Times, there appeared a letter regarding gun violence on TV and wondering if other people felt the same. I want the writer to know that I agree with her 100 percent. TV, video games and movies, they are all very violent. Scene after scene of people shooting people and of huge explosions. I refer to them as “shoot ’em up” and “blow “em up.” That is all that is portrayed, every day, all day long. What affect does this have on our young people, and on all of us for that matter? To continually watch this violence actually glorifies the very act of violence and desensitizes the human brain to the seriousness of it.
