Thanks for support of the Unique Boutique

The Zonta Club of the Mid-Ohio Valley would like to thank the community for all their support of our fall Unique Boutique used clothing sale on Nov. 2 and 3. This is our biggest fundraiser that we hold bi-annually and all the proceeds benefit our service projects. This includes our scholarships for non-traditional female students at Washington State Community College. We are also working to raise awareness about human trafficking and domestic violence. The Zonta Club of the Mid-Ohio Valley also awards the Woman of the Year Award annually to an outstanding woman in Washington County whose exceptional, dedicated volunteer service to the community over the years has enhanced the lives of others. This award is given out at the annual Marietta Chamber of Commerce dinner in March.

Thanks to all the loyal individual supporters who continue to give donations at every sale. We truly could not have the sale without community donations. We would also like to thank these supporters and volunteers: WMOA, Marietta Times, Marietta Township Community Center, Marietta Board of Realtors, Real Living McCarthy Real Estate, Advantage Real Estate and all of our outside volunteers who helped hang clothing throughout the week.

All of the remaining clothing was donated to Gospel Mission Food Pantry, Latrobe Street Mission, and coats were donated to the Daily Bread Kitchen and the Church of Christ on South Seventh Street for their Africa project.

The success of this event would not be possible without the continued support of all the Zonta members, their families and friends. Our next sale will be April 5 and 6 at the Reno Community Center. We will accept donations from April 1 to 4 every evening at the sale site. We hope to see you there.
