Right off the bat, I want to take this moment to thank my parents ... and all parents for that matter.
Being a parent is the single hardest job anyone could ever have. Being a single parent, well, let's just say it's not all peaches and sunshine.
My daughter is 2 years, 4 months and 14 days old. She came into the world in a dramatic fashion and has lived up to her reputation for being stubborn, opinionated and a drama queen. Nothing like her mother, of course.
The past couple years have been a learning experience for me as a first-time parent and a re-learning experience for my parents, who are totally devoted to both their grandchildren (who, amazingly enough, arrived within 8 days of each other).
This blog is dedicated to the trials and tribulations of single-handedly parenting a toddler ... without messing up too badly.
I hope to tackle some current topics of interest to parents, specifically single parents, and chronicle some of my journey through this crazy roller coaster ride.
I am by no means an expert. I am taking things one day at a time, one step at a time. Hopefully, we can all learn something and share a few laughs along the way.
