| | Eagle video captures attention of nationApril 5, 2011 - Art SmithStreaming Video by Ustream.TV Tuesday night I joined more than 125,000 other web users to watch a bird sitting on a nest. That’s right, more people than can fit into Ohio Stadium for an OSU home game, turned to a Web page to watch a bald eagle sitting on her nest. The Project Decorah Eagle Cam has gone viral. The pair of bald eagles is on top of a cottonwood tree in Decorah, Iowa. In the past few weeks around 11 million people have watch the young family, that so far, includes two young birds and a yet to hatch third eagle. They have gotten the attention of the major networks. Even The New York Times wrote about the young hatchlings. The fact that so many people are turning to something as simple as a bird nest is testament to the unpredictable habits of Internet users, and for that matter, television viewers.
