Camera phones provide unique link to CU
April 17, 2008 - Art Smith
Each year millions of new cell phones are sold in the U.S. Most contain a small digital camera. Most people will share the photos by asking their friends and family to look at the tiny little screen.
There is a better way. That camera provides a unique link to the our popular photo sharing site CU.
Thursday night I visited the Taste of Home Cooking School. Held at Marietta College and sponsored by The Times, the event featured cooking demos and vendor displays from a dozen area businesses. Hundreds attended the event.
From the floor of the Dyson-Baudo Center I upload several photos to CU while the demonstrations were still in progress.
Seconds after taking the photos the images appeared on CU. No camera, no web connection, no computer, just a phone capable of sending e-mail. That's all it took to get photos from a community event published on the community photo site of the community newspaper.
Any one who is a registered member of our site is able to do the same thing. Simply log onto CU, click on profile, and then enter the e-mail address that you plan on e-mailing the photos from.
After that, all you have to do is e-mail the photos to mobile@CU.mariettatimes.com and the photos will appear in your Mobile CU gallery.
It's that easy. Just click on the Create Account link at the top of the page and start sharing!
