| | Fair parade thoughtsSeptember 5, 2011 - Jim BartholowSaturday's Washington County Fair parade was a lot of fun. I'd forgotten how nice it is to see old friends and enjoy being with all four grandchildren. (Ages 22 months, 4 years, 5 years, and almost 8 years) Boy do they have the energy. I liked watching them and everyone else chasing them. Sounds like a plan to me. Too bad it was soooooooo hot that day. Sitting in the sun made it even hotter. Still if the parade can't bring out the kid in you then that's too bad. Fire trucks, police cars, Shriner cars, marching bands, politicians, business people, youth groups and, of course, at the end the horses. Great fun. TRIBE TALK Cleveland's do or die series with the first-place Tigers begins today. I'm hoping for the best. This team just keeps amazing me. They fight through injuries and inexperience. And the addition of Jim Thome gives us a thumper in the lineup, not to mention a healthy dose of Tribe nostalgia. Get out the red socks!!! Regardless of how the series goes I am pumped about this season and next year.
