Roundtable speaker chosen
H.G. Parsa will be the next speaker at the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley luncheon, noon Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Marietta Country Club. Parsa is the chair of food service and lodging management at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, University of Central Florida. Parsa will speak on “Why Do Restaurants Fail? Implications for Rural Economies in the U.S.” The meeting is open only to members of the roundtable and their invited guests. Non-ERT members who are interested in attending this meeting must contact Jacqueline Khorassani, chair of ERT, at 376-4621 for more information. Parsa holds a Ph.D. in hospitality management, Master of Science in food science, Master of Science in biology and a Food Management Professional diploma. He is the honorable editor-in-chief of the Journal of Foodservice Business Research and has published/presented more than 100 research papers in business and hospitality journals.
