BEVERLY — Bernard and Maxine Clark of Beverly will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 31.
A family celebration will be held on Saturday, May 17.
Bernard Clark and the former Maxine Payne were married May 31, 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later retired from Ohio Power with 30 years of service. Mrs. Clark is a homemaker.
The couple have two children: Richard Clark (Marilyn) of Beverly; and Jim Clark (Marlene) of Greenwood, Ind.
They also have four grandchildren: Rick Clark of Marietta; Cathy Borich (Mark) of Beverly, Diana Brown (Greg) of Greensboro, N.C.; and Shelly Fain (Jim) of Georgetown, Ind. They also have nine great-grandchildren.

HARRISVILLE, W.Va. — Russell and Jean Francis of Harrisville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 19.

They were married June 1, 1958, at the Lowell Methodist Church with the Rev. Dowdel officiating for the ceremony.
