PARKERSBURG — Former President Bill Clinton was greeted by a standing ovation Wednesday morning at Jefferson Elementary Center as he campaigned in the Mid-Ohio Valley and around West Virginia on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate and his wife, Hillary.
He touched on many of the same issues discussed in a campaign appearance in Marietta in advance of Ohio’s March 4 primary, won by Hillary Clinton.
“I like West Virginia and am glad to be back here,” Clinton said before about 500 people during the Solutions for America campaign event.
Clinton touched on his own two terms in the office in addition to making a pitch on behalf of Hillary.
“I’m grateful to the people in West Virginia because you voted for me in 1992 and 1996,” Clinton said.
