October 30, 2008

First place “One Scary Night” By Meryan Hart, first grade, Waterford Elementary School Once upon a time there was a little girl and a little boy and a witch. The little girl and little boy went to a creepy house and saw blood on the window. Then they saw the witch, she had a pimple on her nose. The witch flew up to the moon on her magic broom. Then the kids saw the door of the house. There was a sign that said, “Do not dare to come in the house.” They went into the house anyway. They saw a scary spider web with a big, fat spider in it. Then they saw a pumpkin patch with a goblin. There was thunder and bloody spiders on the roof of of the house. There was a werewolf of the moon. Then the little girl and boy ran home. They turned on the nightlight and went to bed. They fell asleep and had another nightmare. Happy scary nightmare! Second place “The Spooky Tree” By Ciara Hilverding, first grade, Waterford Elementary School Once upon a time there was a spooky tree.
