Painting crews color the bridge green
This week, painting crews began applying the intermediate and surface course from the forward abutment to Pier 7. Crews also worked on sealing concrete piers 3, 4 and 5. Also, the final section of pedestrian sidewalk was poured this week. Crews also began to blast and prime the bridge from Pier 7 to Pier 5. Next week, crews will be sealing the superstructure (beams, flanges) and begin to blast and prime from the rear abutment to Pier 1.

Report for July 25
Crews worked hard on the Washington Street Bridge this week forming and pouring the parapet wall, pedestrian wall, and curb ramps. Also, most of the pedestrian steel railing has been installed as well as the eleven decorative light poles.
