Maybe this is why Leviticus said it was an abomination to God for a man to lay with another man as he would a woman!! We ain't seen nuthin yet on this "now politically correct" perversion arena..

As I stated before child *********** is a serious problem in America. It must be addressed as such. You are doing the discussion a disservice when you pin labels on it. Obama does not favor *********** and neither does Boehner

Mr. Speaker, this bill addresses our resolve to end violence based on prejudice, and to guarantee that all Americans, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability--or all of these philias and fetishes and isms that were put forward--need not live in fear because of who they are.

Further, passage of this Hate Crimes bill will increase public education and awareness and encourage Americans to report hate crimes that all too often are silent.

This is serious business. Mr. Speaker, we can't legislate love, but we can legislate against hate. This legislation may not rid us of the intolerance and prejudices that continue to taint our society, but it will provide an added deterrent to those for whom these feelings manifest themselves into acts of violence. They will be fully aware that, should they commit a hate crime, there will be no lenience and they will not slip through the cracks of the American legal system.

All I can say is the late-night comedians need to come up there with me sometime so that they can get into the spirit of spuriousness that comes there on certain occasions.

"The term sexual orientation," this proposed amendment said, "as used in this act, or any amendments made by this act, does not include apotemnophilia, asphyxophilia, autogynephilia, coprophilia, exhibitionism, fetishism, frotteurism, gerontosexuality, incest, kleptophilia, klismaphilia, necrophilia, partialism, pedophilia, sexual masochism, sexual sadism, telephone scatalogia, toucherism, transgenderism, transsexual, transvestite, transvestic fetishism, urophilia, voyeurism, or zoophilia."

Here is the actual transcript of Alcee Hastings remarks in connection with bill that Diane refers to….as you read it be aware that the attempt to amend the bill was done so to prevent passage of the legislation. The far right blogs such as wnd, redstate, abundanthope,Greeley gazette had a field day with it so that they could inject their own propanganda.

Mr. Speaker, I have been on the Rules Committee a considerable amount of time, both in the minority and in the majority, and I have seen things come to the Rules Committee that I thought were trivializing the process, but yesterday took the cake for me. We had an amendment offered by one of our colleagues to this particular legislation. I guess it was done in a creative fashion, and certainly the author of it did spend some time looking in the dictionary or creating new terms. And I apologize to our transcriber, but I am going to put in the Record what we have to put up with in the Rules Committee.

Sorry, end of Obama's praise for the Bill got cut off in my post and I certainly want to give him complete credit for his comment. "The White House praised the bill saying, “At root, this isn’t just about our laws; this is about who we are as a people. This is about whether we value one another – whether we embrace our differences rather than allowing them to become a source of animus.”

Irish, the info below is from ***********greeleygazette****/press/?p=11517 and I seriously doubt if Obama or Hastings nor those who voted in favor of this Bill belong to the Tea Party. Tell me, do you see much light from where you head is buried?

Pedophilia has already been granted protected status by the Federal Government. The Matthew Shephard & James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act lists “sexual orientation” as a protected class; however, it does not define the term. Republicans attempted to add an amendment specifying that “pedophilia is not covered as an orientation;” however, the amendment was DEFEATED by DEMOCRATS. Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fl) stated that all alternative sexual lifestyles should be protected under the law. “This bill addresses our resolve to end violence based on prejudice & to guarantee that all Americans, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability or all of these ‘philias’ & fetishes & ‘isms’ that were put forward need not live in fear because of who they are. I urge my colleagues to vote in favor of this rule.”The White House praised the bill saying, “At root, this isn’t just about our laws; this is about who we

Irish, if you are going to blame the hand guns in Newtown for the murders and not the person who pulled the trigger then you should blame the camera for taking these pictures and not the person who clicked the button to take them.

for defenseless children is acceptable, and that is his own moral compass pointing him in his own direction.... being a good lib, you wouldn't question that. It is people like you and your Hip-Pee Party that enable and encourage aberrant psychopaths like this dude. Your Marxist + NAMBLA + ACLU + GLSEN + NEA + atheist democrat causus is the enemy of all things good in American Judeo-Christian society. Shame on you. I merely pointed out the FACT that undesirable behaviors have occurred long before the advent of Christianity and continue today. Moral ineptitude knows no religion or political boundary. To imply that conservatives, liberals, or those who are apolitical are somehow monopolizing undesirable behavior is to demonstrate ignorance.

Workingstiff, I took nothing out of context. You stated that “IT is a shame we gave up on adultery, or shaming sexual mating before marriage, or shaming giving birth to illegitimate children - especially the punk "sperm donors" who abandon their children”. You further stated “Check this guy for materials or communication with the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA)”. (Even though the article stated these pictures were mostly of underage girls with some of underage boys – the implication was that this guy had to be someone from the radical left who had no moral scruples just as every “libtard” lacks. Irish Eyes chimed in suggesting because of this behavior , the guy is likely to be a tea partier. You countered with the following… Irich.. you are evil. The guy is a Demokrat libtard like you. He has "evolved". He is not "judgmental", especially of his own behavior. He is a moral relativist, like you. He is relatively confident that his*****for

Gee, the last time I checked my Bible I learned of concubines, numerous wives, adulterous behavior, greed, coveting, and all sorts of sordid behavior. Amazingly, these activities continued through early Christianity, Medieval times, the Renaissance, the Founding Fathers, the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, The Mexican War, The Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, The Cold War, The Space Race, the Korean Conflict, The Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan right up to the present moment. The libtards and the tea partiers have no exclusive patents on these activities.

Irisheyes and Workingstiff: Thank you for the elevated level of discourse on this site. I find the whole tea party/libtard debate to be one of the greatest issues in dealing with the problem of child exploitation.
