When you see a kid with rotten teeth, look at the teeth of the parents and you will know how that happened. No excuse.

Marty, many times people have "soft" teeth which are very prone to decay. It's genetic and compounded by poor diet. Poor dental health care can lead to many health problems, including heart disease.

I'm happy that the Health Department has recognized the need for the dental clinic. The staff and the professionals are great at what they do. I hope funding can be found to keep the clinic open.

Time for us to realize that proper dental care and proper mental health care are as important as physical health care. We have one body that houses everything and if one problem is neglected, it impacts the rest of the body.

Baby bottles full of soda and juice will strip the weak enamel off primary teeth and then the secondary teeth come in already decayed. It's primarily a parental responsibility but they can't do a good job if no one taught THEM. Let's help one another.
