I can't even take the flu vaccine talk anymore. I can't figure out why Americans can be some of the most intelligent people in the world yet can't seem to think for themelves. I am seeing a lot on the news and on facebook posts about our NEED to get vaccinated. I'm not sure if you are seeing what is going on here folks. This year is the HIGHEST vaccination rate that we have EVER had and MORE people got the flu vaccine this year than any other year!! Did the incidence of flu go down?? NO!!! It has gone up!! So what is our answer.... more flu vaccine?? A booster??? What the*****is wrong with our healthcare..cough..cough.. I mean SICK CARE system?? Health, flu prevention, wellness comes from within. We don't get sick because we are attacked by viral and bacterial tissue, we get sick because we are not properly prepared to handle it!! Want to prevent it? Eat right! Exercise! Quit smoking! Limit your alcohol intake! Take some good vitamins! SLEEP!! AND Get Adjusted!! Is it weird that the

People that do patient care should get the flu shot as you can actually be contagious a day or so before before you have full blown symptoms. Why take the chance of making someone else sick when you are in the medical profession? Prevention is a big part of healthcare. No one should have to tell you to do the obvious.

I am a nurse, have been since 1993. My opinion, no shot, no work. The protection of the public outweigh the individual right (IMO). Even at 62%, that's better than zero percent.

You're right, psulion, I'm sorry, I allowed things like facts and science to get in the way of what somebody who is trying to sell you something told you on television. My bad. But by all means, on no account should you listen to doctors or immunologists who have devoted their lives to understanding how these things work. You're obviously right because you say you're right. I feel silly not recognizing that...

Look its easy , if the flu vaccine was 100% effective then get the shot !but since its only 62% effective , they should be given the chance to try to get by !In 1918 there wasnt any vaccine and we all know what happened ! But i guess I'm saying these are still FREE AMERICANS and they should have the right to get one or not !

Don't believe a word you read on that quack Mercola's website. He's been ordered no less than three times in the last seven years by the FDA to stop making "illegal claims" regarding the so-called "cures" he offers on his website. It's people like Mercola, NVIC, and Jenny McCarthy who have riled up easily misled people with half-truths and outright lies.
People have got to understand that part of the reason that we are seeing a rise in preventable disease (flu, whooping cough, etc) is exactly because of a dip in vaccinations. A misguided attempt to follow a celebrity quack on the Dr. Oz show is going to cost somebody their life, and it's entirely preventable. Get the shot.

If the shots were even 60% effective, I'd say the hospital has a point, but they aren't that effective. Almost everyone that gets a flu shot will still get the flu, at least once. That being said, if I worked in a hospital, its a no brainer. Get the shot.

Get the FACTS folks. Flu shots are filled with TOXINS and the CDC will say post flu season that the shot was not effective. The only thing the shots do is fill the pockets of the drug companies and you with toxins. There are other options out there including the flu nosode, getting adjusted and how about taking care of yourself. Eat right, exercise and get enough rest. Don't fall into the trap of the media and false information. Educate yourself. NVIC**** and Mercola**** have a wealth of info on why not to get a flu shot.
