Why is the City of Belpre contracting services from Athens Co.? There is no reason why any town or city in Washington County should be contracting out it's services to another county. All health services in Washington County should fall under the County Health Department. Do the powers that be have no common sense?????

The sanitarian who handles dog bites in Belpre does work for the Athens Co. Health Dept. Belpre contracts with Athens and the sanitarian is in Belpre one day a week. Belpre is not that big of a city, it would be pretty expensive to have a sanitarian on the job 5 days a week. Just like their nurses. They come form Marietta and are in Belpre on Fridays.
