If we had the "Taj Mahal" that would have covered the costs of the new court and the roof would not be leaking.

Fix the roof. As far as renovations I would say that needs to wait right now we can't afford another project . I know it's uncomfortable for the police and fire dept. to operate but just like at home we have to make do . We payed for 2 boats one for fire which was ok knowing down the road something had to be done with city hall that police boat price tag would have more than covered the roof. It's about priorities when it comes to spending.

Whatch you talkin' 'bout Willis/JB? What bank account is leaking? Has the Times been scooped?

MP, I sense sarcasm, but I have heard in public forums that if they had built that thing way back when, it would be paid for...free and clear! Today, we are saddled with 3 million in a bond, 1/2 million in roof, HVAC, & misc add ons, and lastly, a leaking City Hall. So there is a lot of truth in your sarcasm. Unfortunately I think you meant to be blaming someone in that.

McCabe, get on your meds dude! The City didn't buy two boats. They were awarded grants to the cost. What money was needed was matched in kind future services. Taxpayers across the nation bought those boats...

@the armory... At least it will have a new roof. Seriously folks, FOTA/CAPS blow smoke with their business models. It is a government building, use it for government business. If so, it may get some real use.

It's pretty sad when the city can't take care of those who take care of its people. No wonder cops are grumpy. The Times should do a photo expose of the bowels of the police station so the citizens can see the conditions they have worked in for years. It's a da mn shame.
