And it is high time we utilize these dams for power. The tree and fish huggers need to clam up and let them be built, unless the Sierra club is funded by the OPEC ministers. Hmmm Hmmm

In the past 20 years, can remember at least 3 past proposals for hydro plants at these dams like this and the only one that materialized is at the Stockport Mill by a private person..

FriendsofLowerMuskingumRiver
Friends of Lower Muskingum River is glad to see that Free Flow Power is going about this project in a responsible manner and taking the environmental concerns seriously. Our mission is to not only protect the river for environmental reasons, but to maintain its recreational use for boating and fishing. Many of our members are fishermen and enjoy fishing the river, so we help to ensure fish habitat is protected.
We don't protest projects like this--instead we work with companies and stakeholders to reach friendly agreements and facilitate useful discussions: such as how a project on the river can affect aquatic life and habitat.

Wow, a whole 22 MWs. Going to need a lot more than that when Muskingum River plant shuts down with 1400 MW gone (63 times as much).
