Man, what a great read. I love keeping up with what the county is doing with our money and I'm glad the Times keeps sending quality reporters to covering the meetings. Now I just hope they fix the pot hole by my apartment, LOL!

What about the County Engineer? They are the ones who originally proposed the sales tax in the 80's and did all of the work to get the Commissioners to consider it. Many bridges, culverts, and roads that are the County's responsibility need fixed also. Give it back to the County Engineer and the Townships.

hockeypuck > The TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES CAN NOT ALL BE TRUSTED BELIEVE ME. I AM SO GLADE THE COMMISSIONERS WILL BE INCHARGE OF PAYING THE TRUSTEES AS THEY GO. I HOPE THE COMMISSIONERS GO AND CHECK THE JOB'S ON THE ROAD'S THAT THEY SAY THEY HAVE WORKED ON. IT'S ABOUT TIME WE GOT HONEST PEOPLE DOING THIS JOB NOW.

What is new, Hockey is 2 commissioners and thankfully, Her Majesty is gone and can no longer "strongarm" the situation. These new commissioners have vowed to BEGIN the process of returning that 1% to the townships. It cannot be done overnight without shutting down the entire county! Give 'em a chance , its only Jan 18th.

What a crock!! The "mighty" Commissioners are stealing the funds that were intended for roads and bridges. The Townships and the County Engineer should receive 85% of these funds as it was originally designed for. The Commissioners are nothing more than common criminals in this case. What else in new?
