Welfare payments should be taxed, just like any other income.

Thanks for call me a DA. Now I know the level of intelligence we are dealing with. Do you believe that the tax on millionaires will solve the deficit issue? I do not. More people need to pay more taxes. We need more tax payers.

I was against the payroll tax holiday from the beginning as it was direct funding for SS. How can a D claim to suppoet SS and then take away its funding. Like I said it was a election cycle feel good gimmick. Election over, tax back. Pretty simple to me.

Just throwing this out there but I would be interested to know how many of these comments are from people receiving or approaching collection of Soc Sec. I'm not a D or an R. I'm an agist and all you 55+ Rs and Ds spent to much money and now are going to take more than you put in to Soc Sec. So pay the tax and shut up. To all the 50 and unders commenting, I am sorry. You are getting screwed like me.

ea333555: I am not sure what your point is. Romney did not win. The election is over. Your guy won and the payroll tax holiday disappeared.

ea333555,Do you have a 401?Pension?By law,a public held co is required to do what is in the best interest of the shareholder. Many that whine about Baine would be SQUEALING if there inv with a pension or 401 holdings would see a 100% loss of shareholder value if these companies went belly up because of the EPA and our legislature. We havent seen anything yet.We have 12 million border jumpers going on Obamacare(yep,it is a fact)massive debt,a pres with a printing press and a lazy, welfare infatuated workforce.O'care gave the unions $9 billion taxpayer dollars to bail out their mess,12 million new "citizens" to insure(we already were anyway)ahh..the joys of a low information voter

What a DA. I suppose Romney was just going to pull money out of his arse.......or maybe he would just have one of his Bain Capital companies that he moved over to China donate some money. Wake up and do some research.....DAs

Congress had legislated a temporary payroll tax holiday designed to put more money into the hands of American workers. Somehow, taking money away for the Social Security fund was deemed ok until after the election. Democrats (look it up) favored ending the holiday. We give you tax break you give us your vote. Obama back in office break gone. Sucker.

Not to worry folks...when the treasury finishes minting a few of those "trillion" dollar coins, we will all be sitting on the porch with a beer in our hand.
