Seems like a good place to start would be with the coaching staff. I have never seen a head coach as terrible as the one we have. If the boys "don't want it bad enough" possibly it's a reflection of the attitude you show! Lead by example.

You got it right emanon. Attitude and inability to utilize players are two problems the coach exhibits.

You know, I have watched high school basketball for a long time. Kids played, grandkids; and Marietta athletes, no matter what the sport is or who the coach is, don't seem to want it enough. At least not as bad as our competitors.
I know that we have several who put forth the effort and work 12 months a year, and I applaud those. Nice job; and I am not talking about you...so Mom relax.
Then we have the wanna-bees who have a little more talent and skill; and have had since youth league; who just have an attitude that they are great, and they don't need to work harder. They have a starting spot on the team and party on; and we lose.
Case closed...look at the records.
Blame the coach, blame the school, blame the facilities,......??????
We just do not want it bad enough.

You have the boys that put in the work, show up for practice and the shoot arounds sitting the bench. It's past time to make some changes.

The sad thing is, we've got one of the best coaches in Ohio. I've watched a lot of high school basketball and I've never seen coaching like that! He's doing things on the bench that people will be talking about for generations to come.
