The bigger question is why does the city of Marietta wait for a complaint form a neighbor to do something about negligent land owners? I have lived beside the "West Side Dump" (313 Franklin Street) for many years. To my recollection there has never been a time when a city official or department took action independantly without a complaint from another citizen. I long for the days when we had foot patrol officers who took responsiblity for a neighborhood.

After decoding your secret message, I've come to the conclusion that City Council isn't likely to listen to someone who can't spell the word "drain".
I'll hedge a bet that the city is hoping to update their policies in an effort to make the West Side not look like a third world country.
Who of us can disagree with an attempt to make our city look nicer? If you can disagree with it... why?

In this town it's who you no or related to whom. There are several downtown building's need's TORENDOWN for the safety of the people who walk the street's everyday.Example on Tiberway there is a building next to (TOP DRAWER & TIBERWAY GRILL) belonging to the MATHENY'S.Water running out of the building across the side walk, which freezes and drane's all year long. The whole back of the building has fallen in.All (ANIMALS) HYBERNATE in it and MULTIPLIES) and NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.Wild cat'sand lot's of creachers live back behind the building. People have to walk back there to dump their trash and could be attacted by these animial's. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SOMEONE.The front of the building isn't evan safe or securied, floor roughtened out, mold, mildew very unsafe the large draniage whole under the building has already fallen in once. City Council make a trip to this location tear it down, put a beautiful wall up benches for esidence to sit on.
