I think in the old days, this was called make up home work. If a student couldn't make it to school, they were assigned missed lessons to complete and hand in. Condidering most homes have computors, there is no reason a student can't get online and complete school missed on a school day.

How can you make up days on line when the schools multimillion dollar website don’t work most of the time. Most of Warrers teachers don’t keep up with it anyway. Just a total waste of time and money.
