As Chris Mathews said, maybe the Catholics can get a guy in there who believes in birth control and abortion, you know, a real liberal.

Pardon me if I am a bit unclear, but why is this filed under local news?
Did he resign in Marietta? If so, that's an odd end to an odd reign as Pope.

Pope Benedict made several apologies to victims who were sexually abused by clerics, etc, within the Catholic church. Yet to this day, he has taken no decisive actions to punish any high ranking church official for enabling, empowering, and covering up sex crimes against innocent kids. Many should have been fired. Just to name a few.. -Cardinal Law, who was given a plush job in the Vatican -Bishop Finn, who is a convicted criminal is still the bishop of the KC-St Joe diocese -Cardinal Mahony, horrific cover up of sex crimes per thousands of recently released LA archdiocese secret documents
We hope there is someone within the college of cardinals who could be a pope with integrity, who will start to take immediate actions to stop these crimes against humanity.

When really questioned in a high pressured situation, the Pontiff admitted the lost to Alabama is the real reason he is resigning.
The coveerup about by the real Holy Water was not in the buckets for the game lead officials right back to Rome.
All other speculations of his resignation have been deemd false.
His health did take a turn for the worse right after kick off and hopes of any recovery dimisnished thoughout the second have.
After further investigation, we will know exactly where the water was delivered or if there was illegal activity that resulted in a hijacking of the container.
