What's your point? Triad was filing for bankruptcy, another company took it and turned it around. Of course Evans wants to make money, who's idiot enough NOT to? So Triad comes into the area to make more money and benefit our region. Are we supposed to only welcome local, NON-profit companies? Anyone finding fault with this scenario is simply small minded and paranoid.

A company with nearly 100 employees in the Marietta and Parkersburg area announced Wednesday it will be filing for bankruptcy.
Triad Resources, a company that invested in the exploration and development of oil and natural gas in Appalachia, is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, which allows a company to reorganize during a period of financial difficulty.
The vultures circle when the gettin's good ;)

NasCar, seriously? Do you know the story of Triad? Are you aware that Kean Weaver was a major player in this area, and his tragic passing was a great loss to this community? Triad Hunter is being low key out of respect for Kean. I hope the negative and cynical comments here don't reflect the opinions of the general community. If so, we don't deserve to have businesses invest in our area. Gheeze

" he said. "We decided on a low-key entry into this area...
Sneaking in the back door, better keep an eye on old Evans...he's here for one reason MONEY and he's from Texass; another reason to keep your guard up...

mattelliot, is there no success story or good news your jealous, miserable little mind cant tolerate?
this is a good company doing good things for their employees, their shareholders and the community.
if you cant show them a little respect or gratitude then keep your mouth shut. maybe you should consider getting a job in the public sector where miserable dolts like you seem to congregate.

Mattelliott, Why should they try to hide their success? A newly renovated building, 40 employees to eat lunch downtown and patronize local merchants, money entering the area economy---is there a problem with this scenario?
