Hickory we passed and renewed a levy for building repairs and upkeep. No reason this should have happened when the story says this has been a problem before. That's a poor job of utilizing the levy funds.

We as citizens were afforded the opportunity to build new schools in 2009. The majority of voters chose not to do so. As much as I hate to admit it, 1964 was a long time ago. Eventually, the replacement of buildings must occur. I doubt seriously that this water line break will start a campaign to replace the buildings at this time. So with all due respect to those of you who smell a new levy coming you can relax, the district will get by with bandaids and duct tape
