You try to blame the republicans but it is your own heros that are dropping the ball. Any one with a little sense can see that but you try to cloud issues with claims of racism, predjudice, being for the common guy when all your hero wants to do is campaign for the dems in 2014 already. What a waste!!

Hey Idiot oneill, your throwing rocks around to divert the blame from where it belongs aint workin. Boehner said they SENT 2 DRAFTS OF A COMPRIMISE TO THE SENATE AND THE WOULDNT GET OFF THEIR ARSES TO RESPOND. YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR. Look at Harry Reid too. Your blundering, petty name calling aint gonna work no more. You get on this blog to get people to disagree with you so you will be a top rated user. So I quit disagreeing with you cause you are too much of a moron to make sense with your lies !!

EVERYTHING Workingstiff says is right on the money. Your mind is so full of garbage that you cannot see it, hence the F.I. You all think that calling some one racist intimidates them into submit to being quiet. Well, I know better my family and friends know better and I am not afraid of some mouse like you calling me racist. If my friends called me that, I would look in the mirror and feel bad.

Good enough me to repeat: I chuckle when I hear the term "that is racist". "The Chicago way" or just the word Chicago is now racist according to MSNBC. That’s racist. Calling the current president lazy is racist. Stating that the president plays a lot of golf is racist according to msnbc. The NAACP says using the word “Obamacare” is racist. Rep. Marcia Fudge, a Democrat from Cleveland – accused Sen. John McCain of ‘sexism and racism’ for criticizing UN Ambassador Susan Rice for her comment on Benghazi. Claiming racism and sexism is out of the Lib playbook.

FROM NOV 6 2012 -- There’s a disturbing report coming out of Philadelphia, as it’s been confirmed that New Black Panthers are, once again, outside of a polling place — the same location they stood at, batons in hand, back in 2008 (the address is 12 and Fairmount, Ward 14).

So I am now a racist because I brought this up????Re Read my posts. You people that call me this are what is wrong with the US. I didn't make it up. I just told you that. Yoiu tell me why not 1 person voted republican in this district?? F.I.'s.

Anytime someone is critical of someone of color they are automatically a racist. You had better tell them neices and nephews of mine that cause they ain't seeing it!!There was definetly one outside the Pa voting place so there is at least one of them left. I just love the way you ctart calling names instead of presenting a counter arguement. F.I. !!

Folks: remember that in the sequestration bill that Congress passed the ability to fine tune the cuts was expressly taken away. That means that the managers can't do the cuts the smart way. Depending on how the money was appropriated, they have to make a percentage cut from every line. If that line is for salaries, then that is where the cuts have to come. The extreme stupidity of this approach was supposed to be one of the reasons it would "force" congress to act.

Yes, the repubs are trying to do what their constituents want. Cut the budget!! That 2012 election. The precint that was Guarded by the Black Panthers had absolutely ZERO votes for Romney!!! Not even ONE... How can that be??? INtimidation??? Of course..And, I heard that there were 60,000 more votes in Florida than were people registered and guess who they voted for??

@oneill Congress had an approval rating of 14% before the 2012 Election and they still kept the Congress. Congress is elected locally not national and the Republicans are doing what their constituents what them to do.

In the private sector, when something happens that has the potential to affect the delivery of goods and services to the company’s customer, everything is done to minimize the effect on the customer. But Gov’t is not a managed private entity. It is a bunch of little independent departments that are run like individual fiefdoms. So when the FAA has to cut 1.5% out of a $73,000,000,000 budget Ray Lahood decides that it is the air traffic controllers and security screeners at airports that are the first to go in order to maximize the pain felt by taxpayers/customers. Basically, this is a way of getting retribution on the Taxpayer for daring to cut the rate of increase by so little. Inflicting the most pain to the customer/ citizen with the least pain to the FAA. What a bunch of BS.

To put this into perspective, these cuts are $85 billion. Apple is sitting on $137 billion cash. $85 Billion is chump change. If agencies in the US Gov’t cannot find a way to cut 1.5% out of their budgets, the Gov’t is even more messed up than first thought. The media is focused on the number 85 Billion. It is not that big of s deal. The problem is every agency is going to protect their goodies and make the citizens suffer by cutting personnel. It shows you what disdain the gov’t has for their citizens

If the President has any guts he would demand that the cuts come from something besides laying off folks. There is fat in every departments budget, repeat every single one.

If you set your thermostat to 74, turning it down to about 73 is 1.5%. Are you really going to notice?

Everything I have seen or read in regards to sequester has to do with laying off people. That would mean, if this was the private sector, that the entity in question is running at top efficiency and the only way to cut costs in a downtime is to reduce spending. In the private sector scenario, the entity’s highest cost which are personnel so layoffs happen. There is not one Gov’t agency that can be accused of running at 100% lean and mean efficiency. There has to be, repeat one hundred times, there has to be many areas within each agency to reduce costs before going to layoffs of personnel. Problem is that no one has been called on the carpet to make efficiencies happen. When someone gets used to only more money coming in every year, a lazy management style kicks in. The Sequester is a reduction in increases, not reductions in current dollars. Layoffs are the manager’s easy way out. Gov’t has no mangers, just appointees. Every major industry has learned to do with less over the last fe

The Republicans will not lose any seats this year or 2014 because there are no swing districts left in America. I know Democrats have dreams but you already have "Hope & Dope " in the white house you don't need the congress too.

JoshBrown.... My father worked for ODOT for 25 years and without those workers. This put jobs into our area and it is better to have local workers than contractors that don't care about our streets or how our snow is removed. Come on give it a break!!!

Is it too much to ask for the commander in chief to work together with congress to give and take to get this stuff resolved so our country can do something PRODUCTIVE and not at each others throats all the time???? My God, I have never seen so much division unless it was on purpose !!!
