I'm sure it's a practical joke in really bad taste but a joke all the same .

It may have been a joke joshbrown, but I am not laughing. Whoever posted that needs caught and punished, I for one am tired of the way life in the USA has changed since 9/11/2001, and anybody joking about this needs punished.

A healthy dose of skepticism is needed (as usual).
Why would Al Qaeda need to target a community college in SE Ohio? It's obvious a prank. Probably done by bored youths looking for cheap thrills.
Get a grip.

Two reasons
1) The world "Washington" associated with Washington D.C.
2) I'm not sure if WSCC hosts their own web portal or if it's hosted on a third party server. If it is a third party server that server may have been compromised and other websites were hacked as well by this "Al-Qaeda" group.
Obviously no one cares and seems to be an isolated incident as a quick google search only brought up this one article.

I meant to put two reasons that it could very well be Al-Qaeda.
And judging by the lack of news coverage I would have to agree that it was more likely the domestic type of hacker who is just bored.
