Apostrophe, thank you, that was a very civil response as well as a polite personal view of workingstiffs post. keep in mind, christ himself rebuked satan quite often, became angry at the money-changers, chastized the pharisees and gave forgiveness and instructions to the samaritan woman for her sin. while it is good to forgive those that trespass against us and pray for others, it does not mean that we are immune against our human nature or blind to people or events in the world regardless of our belief system. btw, i did not realize workingstiff was a she...not that it matters.

luvthesouth, I'm not admonishing anyone's ideology per se. I pointed out the cognitive dissonance between the belief system Workingstiff claims to endorse and the opposing worldview she consistently expresses.

luvthesouth, you've done an admirable job parroting Stiffy. Unfortunately, you make even less sense than she does.

Apostrophe, i find it interesting that within your two opening sentences, you admonish someone that is different from you in apparent ideology and tolerance. you may be oblivious to the recent anti-muslim laws in france from what they perceive as threats. i suppose you are in a much better position to lecture them about their lack of tolerance. your last two sentences reveal your contempt for christians based on what you think they should be. every christian i know is a sinner by biblical definition and we all have our faults but we do appreciate your desire to point them out. if it in some small way makes you feel superior then just thank us for our love, true peace and brotherhood and move on.

By the way, there were 55 people representing 14 churches in western Washington County who gathered at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Immigrants to France are coming from all over--particularly from former French territories in Africa, but also from Germany and the Ukraine. Next year's "World Day of Prayer" is being planned by the church women of Egypt. Before you start judging and condemning people, why don't you get your facts straight. (Those who attended know. You can go on line if you don't believe me. Check out either ****wdp-usa**** or ****facebook****/WorldDayOfPrayerUSA.

World Day of Prayer... and I didn't hear it mentioned on World News and none of my local news channels said a word about it. It's a good thing that I don't need a "day" to set aside to pray. It's a gift that can be accessed any time, for which I am thankful.

Really Workingstiff? Your first two posts have you in typically paranoid form, ranting about how people different from you are "a problem." Then in your third post you extol "love and true peace and brotherhood." Gee, I wonder why no one takes so-called "Christians" seriously anymore?

"The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good." I would like to pray for the donor, who made it possible for me to know my youngest grandchild, and hope to make his sacrifice worthy. As I finish my walk in this world.

Prov. 4:7, Wisdom is the principle thing, so get wisdom, and with all thy getting, get understanding. Lift my fears and hatred of others I do not understand, as they are inequities I shall be punished for, just as surely as all other sins, I have committed.
