I am confused as to why they started the search in the water. Sounds like an excuse to use the new boats.

It might be helpful to publish some casual pictures of how he looks when not in the military gear.

I wonder where he is from, because it said that he came "up here" to party.

Can you say AWOL>>>>>>>>>>>>>

No evidence he left town, no evidence of foul play, no evidence he is in the water;

where are they searching? In the water. Why is that?

I hate to write what I'm thinking but if there is no trace of him and the dogs are alerting to one specific area where he may have been last, then wouldn't it make a person wonder if he got in the water there? On his own or by some other hand.

If 3 dogs all jumped into the same place, that has to mean something. Right? If the guy came to Marietta looking for partying ,he went to the galley and maybe returned to Lafayette really wasted, he could have decided to take a walk by the river and tripped hit his head and fallen in, knocked unconscious-drown. A similiar situation happened to a New Orleans tourist about 4 years ago. He got drunk as a skunk, took a lurching walk near a riverboat actually walked onto a gangway hit head lost balance and drown. Who is to say the same fate could not have happen to this soldier. Who knows?

can any law enforcement agency in Marietta ever do their job without people complaining?

My dog and I went down to the Lafayette Hotel yesterday evening,he stood stock still like he had sensed something in the water,and didn't budge around the fenced in area.He also growled like he sensed something that was too close as well when a car was around.He's a retriever/boxer dog that looks like the cadaver dog they used.When we went down to the dock area there were no reactions.Suicide would be a reason to look in the water as well as him possibly falling in accidentally/intentionally put there to get rid of his body.That's the area he was believed to be around since he had checked into the Lafayette Hotel and went to the Adventure Galley.Bloodhounds are good trackers on land if they wanted to hit on a scent,but there's been a considerable amount of time since he was considered missing-too much time in my opinion.

They were saying they were going to be checking surveillance camera video to enlarge their search which I think is an excellent idea.Cadaver dogs hitting on a scent doesn't mean he is there.I would have thought his body would have floated to the top somewhere if he was in the water.
