Doesn't Liar Mincks, I am sorry, Larry Stinks remind you of that little boy on the playground that when he wouldn't get his way would take his ball and go home?

Mincks, who approves the issuance of retired IDs, declined to talk about why Spencer has not been issued an ID.

Are you kidding me Liary?? You rival the Kardashians in wanting your face on tv, name in print media, and voice on the radio and yet you don't have a comment?? The truth is simple...you thought Dana was feeding Forshey info during the election and this is your revenge. I do believe your empire is crumbling brick by brick.....

Maybe Dana should just start receiving his retirement benefits and then he would have more of a leg to stand on here. Also, actively promoting the ouster of your boss is never a great idea.

Sounds like a power struggle to me. Why is it that most of the county sheriff's departments across the US seem to be members of the "Good Ole Boy's Club" and it's who you know and who's palm you rub rather than what is right and honest?

It must really cause a lot of stress to be the head of such a large agency and not know who you can trust. You try and coverup an incident involving one of your deputies yet piece by piece the truth comes out. You think only your most trusted 4 know the real truth yet piece by piece the story unfolds. Belpre is a small city, did you really think you could quash the information. "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive". Should be your mission statement Liary.

The fact that Minks says "I dont have any comment about my issuance of retired ids",certainly says something here!Minnks has never missed an oppertunity to comment on anything.

"Alot more than 4 insiders are ready for a change to"

"I do believe your empire is crumbling brick by brick"

2012 Election Results: Chris Forshey 3,456 (13.45%) Larry Mincks 22,245 (86.55%)

Now I know what you are going to say, he withdrew from the election. Virtually the same number of votes as county commissioners race. People still filled in the bubble for the candidate they wanted.

Pretty large majority wanted Mincks, still do.

Just a few whiners and complainers. "The tendency to whining and complaining may be taken as the surest sign symptom of little souls and inferior intellects." - Lord Jeffrey

I have been told that Minks gave a retired id card to Ketelsen even tho Minks had him indicted for stealing drugs! However others like Alkire,Wilson,Winstanley, etc. were not issued id cards.

What? All the meanie posts haven't gotten this comment section pulled yet? I'm shocked....

Well, not really. It's pretty clear that it's just fine to be nasty and throw wild (very likely false, certainly politically motivated) insinuations around about the Sheriff, but it's NOT OK to question legitimately confusing statements and conflicting actions of a city councilman. But why exactly would Mr. Thomas be afforded such protection when our Sheriff (or anyone else) would not?????

Give the man his card. He earned it. Mincks, you bloody well know he's retired, since he worked for you. And let him keep his compass and secret decoder ring too. And they say women who work together fight...sheesh.

Minks has no descrection in this matter. As the article states ORC 2923.126 states"each public agency of this state SHALL issue a retired peace officer identification card to any person who retired from service as a peace officer with that agency"
