The reason the politicians want to do something at the intersection has nothing to do with safety. It has everything to do with money. I worked in local government for 32 years, and I know of what I speak. The politicians have been infected by their respective "party bosses". There is no cure. Quite obvious.

If most of the funds are coming from the state or federal coffers then no taxpayer money will be saved in the end. Another city/county will just pick up the funds to take care of their pet project(s).

Why are they so determined to do something at that intersection? What is the point? Here's a novel idea - SAVE the taxpayers' money and LEAVE IT ALONE. Why do politicians always think they "have" to spend money or "someone else will get it?" How about stop taking our hard-earned dollars and let US decide what to do with it.

The armory contractor needs another $32,000.00 to complete the job. When will they ask for more money to fix the low bid they made to get the job. Vukovic said no city funds to run the armory now or after it is completed. The whole city council better wise up before the next election. Stop wasting money on the Pike,Greene and 7th street intersection

See, that wasn't so hard now. Was it? Why would the mayor work all weekend? This is an engineering project. ODOT officials don't work on these types of projects on the weekend. Guaranteed!

Incredible isn't it? I really thought every one may have changed councils mind by speaking out on this project and it would die . Worng instead this council continues to show it has a selective hearing problem and the arrogance to do what ever they want no matter what the majority of the people want . We don't want the project period bottom line . Letting us make a left turn isn't exceptable . Dumping this whole stupid waste of a project is . Everyone should show up at the next meeting with a box of Qtips. I'm guessing we will get a new intersection .
