3 of Warrens starters only scored 8 points total. When will Warren learn to play the game and not the name.

Big fish in a little pond becomes a little fish in a big pond. However, it was nice to see a Wash. Co. school representing this region.

You were all great. You should be so proud. Not sure why some people have to say negative things when you have accomplished so much. You have nothing to hang your heads at. GO BLUE

Wasn't even a ball game. Should stick to playing teams like Vinton and Athens. SVSM could have run the score up by 70 but they backed off early in the game.

It is easy to be a critic from the sidelines - if you have nothing nice to say - say nothing. These young men - ALL of them fought a good fight and should be proud! And our community should be proud of our support for our school - there is no need to pick at our own. If you dislike the district so much that you can't say anything positive, move.

I am proud of our team, the cheerleaders, the coaching staff, the pep band, our rockin student section and the awesome group of adults who cheered their hearts out. It brought tears to my eyes when with the fate was sealed that Maddox let his bench play and there was even some scoring going on and suddenly the crowd began to cheer "We're proud of our team!" I too am proud of the kids in our school and proud of the community that supports them - WE are more than some of the mean pettiness that gets aired in the paper. Way to Go Warren - the Team, students and community can hold our heads high that on the court and off play and behavior was absolutely respectable!

@pmsflowerlady....some of us find your comment "And our community should be proud of our support for our school" humorous. We were just wondering how many of those athlete supporters voted for the levy in supporting your school? Great job Warrior bb team from an MCS supporter.

Glad I could bring a smile. I was going for uplifting and healing, but hey - a smile's better than a fist. Just a thought here. A whole lot of people supported those young people, if we as a community could capture that support and channel it to academics and funding for buses and new buildings and for recreation leagues and science olympiad and FFA and Drama and community volunteerism, wouldn't we have a great school district? Unfortunately, not everyone supports every thing - but that doesn't take away from the support that WAS there. To imply that supporting the Basketball Team's winning season isn't enough if every single person didn't support the levy is really a divisive approach. Let's look for things we CAN be proud of and common ground to make our community better - and this team was a great place to start. And for the record, I AM proud of everyone that supported the Team! Those negative nellies who want to criticize the team, the coaches, students, band - not so muc

Nice run Warriors. Nice to see a local team do well. I happen to now live in the SVSM region(NE). There are maybe 10 teams in this region that would easily handle Warren. But each region gets a team. As it should be.

I grew up in NE Ohio and I can tell you from personal experience that Catholic and private schools recruit. It is fundamentally unfair. Teams like SVSM, St. Ignatius, St. Ed's, Africentric, etc should be in their own OHSAA division. Let's hope it goes through! Washington County is so proud of Warren and Fort Frye basketball!

Coach Dru Joyce of St. Vincent should receive Ohio's recruiter of the year award.Catholic schools get by with it but if public schools do it they get in trouble with the OHAA.

Public schools do it also if you have a program that is desirable enough to draw the athletes in.
