Canine distemper is a neurological disease that kills dogs (and cats), as well as Rac*****. The Rac***** are infected and they pass the disease through their saliva, urine, and feces. It affects their brain and can make them very aggressive toward us and our pets. We must be vigilant in seeing that our pets are protected by the proper vaccinations. The story is important if you have a dog or cat that is anywhere a Raccoon might have been, which in Marietta, is anywhere.
