Good for council! Look around boo.bs at other communities. Marietta, the county seat, has the most deplorable council chambers up & down the Ohio for 50-60 miles.

I agree with many that the PD is not an option for many reasons. I also agree that if that old building vacates, SELL IT FAST! Escaping future op cossts will be a huge savings. LOP, is out of the way. Legislative action isn't supposed to be out of the way. Mayor here, committees there, employees somewhere else, council members nowhere, & finally a gathering way over there. That isn't right. Below the court is a cool concept. Just a shame the judge is managing to hold hostage the taxpayer & city.

THE POLICE DEPT WILL STILL BE OCCUPYING MOST OF THE BASEMENT AREA WITH LOCKER ROOMS/ STORAGE , ETC SO HOW CAN THEY HAVE THE PUBLIC ROAMING ABOUT IN A AREA THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SECURED?

I'm glad to see City Engineer Tucker and Project Manager Lambert thinking in a proactive way instead of the knee jerk crisis mode that was happening. People can't think creatively when they operate in crisis mode, as had been expected of Mr. Tucker. Instead, they spend their energy reacting to putting out fires, or become overwhelmed and unable to do anything. Seems to me young Mr. Lambert is the asset that was lacking in the engineering department. Now that there's a qualified project manager on board, perhaps Mr. Tucker can delegate some duties.

It is all about what Council wants . Council wants : permanent space for meetings . Council wants : new intersection . Council wants : a pay raise . Council wants , Council wants , Council wants : most everything we don't want . and they don't care they get it regardless . What a waste of our tax dollars .
