They have 12 employees? That's part of the problem!!!! If the animals were housed properly there would be no need for more than one employee on duty when the shelter is closed to the public, and one on call to pick up animals. If the design for housing the animals were more efficient it wouldn't be so hard to care for the animals. Parkersburg needs to get a clue before it loses all of it's productive citizens!

If the Commissioners are checking on how much to run a shelter where are the numbers for payroll. The numbers they stated leave 135,600.00..is that their payroll for the year...did the Comm. even ask...thats a little over eleven thousand per employee per year...really cheap.
