Now only if the police dept. would stop the drug trafficers on the south side, the "bike path" would be a great asset to the city.

Every time a plan for easing traffic problems comes up, the whole city gets in an uproar and nothing happens. The trail is a healthy reply to going to WalMart. Put the car keys away, get a bike with a basket or trailer and peddle out there.

I like to walk from the Harbor to the fairgrounds and back. I don't think I will ever make the trip to Walmart on foot.

I have been a supporter of the River Trail since they started the first section nearly 10 years ago... but I have my reservations about a biking path terminating at Walmart... seems a little odd if you ask me.... and let us not mention the aromatic part of the trail that will take our outdoor enthusiasts past Marietta's fine sewage treatment plant.

As ucan C "BigNapper", no one really agrees with u. The "river Trail " is a fantastic way to get people out of their cars and "walk, ride a bike or even jog your way out the "Pike", avoiding and lessening the traffic problems..........don't ya think?

Instead of a trail with the money spent a road along the river to Walmart could have eased the traffic problems in that area and been better spent.
