Too bad they couldn't set up multiple check points simultaneously in & around the city! That might catch some of the folks who managed to avoid the main one.

It smacks of 'creepy'- and yes- w. instant communication- especially w. kids...not hard to avoid...I don't know- tough call-

What a way to spin this "positive interaction." It is intrudes on everyone driving on that road, whether drinking or not and we should accept it and be happy about it. The organizers of the checkpoint are foolish. My two teen-aged children showed me tweets of peers that were avoiding the checkpoint within minutes. Wonder why no one was caught??? Duh! In a world of texting and Twitter, a check-point is a waste of time and energy.

Don’t these check points have to be announced in advance, like maybe an announcement in the newspaper, you know, like a public meeting announcement?
