I'm sorry, but why don't you complainers get off your computers and go to school to become a cop? You want to gripe about how they did their job, if you can do it better than have at it! It went on for quite some time, yes, but no one was injured. Everyone seems to be an expert on how to handle a police chase, do it yourself... Or better yet, quit watching cops and talking out your butt. They didn't lose him, he didn't get away... Good job Marietta, and Wood County and any other departments involved... Good grief.

This is a situation that a victim has a PTO and it's not worth the paper it's written on, and just when the victim feels they are free of this type of person, look what happens. They get arrested and allowed to post bond and start being a menace as soon as they get out of jail. Yes, I agree, why wasn't he stopped sooner, but do NOT agree with allowing bond to be allowed and posted!

Glad that West Virginia authorities took care of this loser by using spikes. The sad thing is after all he did, threaten ex wife , steal her truck, lead police from two states on a long long chase, he gets to bail out of jail? Why? So he can do it all over again next Saturday? Why should he show up for court at all?

They have learned nothing from the last time there was a high speed chase on Pike and Greene Sts. Why weren't the tire spikes used before he left Belpre? Or before he reached Marietta?

If that chase airs on cops the cops in the big citys will be rolling. Not a good choice to shut down green street and run the chase right into the city of marietta putting the public at risk. But hey look whos in charge

@clickhere - He posted bail. From another source, "In Wood County, Doug Morrison is charged with fleeing DUI and violation of protection. He appeared in Magistrate Court Sunday morning and is out on $5,500 bond." They can't hold him if bail is posted.

I would like to see the Dash Cam on that one. Sounds like a good episode for COPS.

How does a chase that starts out State Route 26 get to this point? By what I have been told, by my daughter that called me hysterical, there were two law enforcement vehicles in front of this guy and then several behind him when they made it into Marietta city limits. I don't understand why this could not have been stopped before they made it to town?? My daughter's life and my two grand-children's lives were put at extreme risk because of this low life and our law enforcement couldn't stop it during the several miles on St. Rt. 26?? Don't get me wrong, I have complete respect for all of our law enforcement but it just seems that this could have been resolved a lot quicker and with a lot less threat of harm to everyone in the many, many miles between the start and the finish.
