There absolutely needs to be some basic code enforcement. That applies to the rental agencies as well. No more renting back alley garages and passing them off as a liveable dwelling.

The city should compromise the code enforcement with picking up the entire tab for sidewalk repair and sewer line repair caused by their trees that we as homeowners have no control over but have to pay for all the costs associated with the damage they cause.

Fourteen years without enforceable codes has left Marietta with some real eyesore properties. These are not usually occupied by the owners, but by renters. Or they are empty buildings except for the 4 legged varmints. We need the codes on the books so they can be enforced.

It does seem that we have a few "land" lords that apparently need a lesson in property upkeep. Try selling your house that sits next to one of them.

This Council needs to stop anal -yzing everything when it does there is never a good out come. Sidewalks, property,vendors, boatdocks etc. it's a proven fact and they always get it wrong. Rocket science No ****mon sense Yes To me they don't have any .
