I urge the county health board to find money to continue the dental clinic operations. The clinic is important for all people who have no dental insurance and are of limited income. I've been there and received excellent dental care. Certainly dentists in this area would be willing to donate a few hours a week for this worthy cause. I was given an estimate of $900 for one problem tooth by a local dentist. Then I found the clinic where my tooth was fixed for $40...yes $40! This clinic is very much a necessity, unless of course those with means want those of lesser means to be unnecessarily toothless.

It is tragic that the Dental Clinic has had to struggle to stay open these last few years and I feel badly that their dedicated staff has to work under constant fear of losing their job. It's pretty sad that we are able to support several "do-nothing" agencies yet cannot find the funds to support a service as important as the Dental Clinic!
