Jail time ordered for man who bought gun with a bad check

A Zanesville man accused of using a bad check to purchase a gun at a Marietta auction will have to shell out nearly $1,000 in order to be able to serve the intermittent jail sentence he requested....

Wonder if other victims would have been treated the same since practically the whole Mcleish Auction Co. works for or is associated with the sherriffs dept OSHP and the court house. 700.00 on a closed account is pretty bad but it wouldn't surprise me if they would do nothing for certain others.

Oh my goodness,,, the city prosecuted a bad check writer???? When did this start happening? last I knew they didn't have time for such things.... (BUT, it did involve guns) guess you can write a bad check to a store and get away with it... priorities.
