Rodney, she already IS a great parent! She fought for that baby and brought two people down with her! (Please note the extreme sarcasm)

This women should have no choice as to where she can give birth. She's living in hotels with a felon, no doubt selling drugs.....great Mother. And she's comfortable here with her Drs., well boohoo so what. She should of thought of that before her drug and release violations. Send her away....at least we know SHE will have to take accountability of caring for the child in prison. Were going to be paying for it either way. So swoosh off she goes. That's a no brainier for me. Old Ed's getting soft.

Why does Martin have custody of any child? And with a drug violation, chances are she was doing drugs during this pregnancy. There are so many families wanting children and can't, why on earth God lets people like this procreate is beyond me. Lets hope the hospital has run out of pain meds on 9-17. Is she going to whine that she's in too much pain after her C-section? And get another 6wks off? Let's just give her til Dec 17, so she can mend, get back on her feet and bond with her new baby. Ohhh, then Christmas. Wouldn't want to break up a family then. RRRRRR

If she's serious about being a good mother then she's got her priorities all wrong. Unless the baby is being given up for adoption, the baby belongs with his/her mother. She has 11 months left to do and can keep her baby with her in prison. She seems to be making very poor choices.

Don't be mad at the mom. Be mad at our welfare and judicial system which allows young mothers to live like this with little or no consequences. Instead of being punished she is rewarded with housing food stamps medical cards-no wonder these druggies keep having babies they cannot afford to or are capable of caring for. Because society keeps giving them food and money to keep having babies! This cat needs to be taken to a vet and gotten fixed. Babies and young children do not belong in jails, prisons or half way houses!

Quick easy fix..stop allowing the mothers to file for a birth cert without a name for the father. If this was required,I think the men would be a bit more..careful..so to speak,as they would be financially responsible instead of the taxpayer.

"the baby belongs with his/her mother"

These libs drive me crazy!! But the next thing they will say is if the child is inside the women the baby can have it's head cut off and throwed away.

I realize this girl is young, she has a big drug problem, & she's been in trouble more than once. Why in the world would she be dumb enough to throw caution to the wind and get pregnant. There is birth control available that she wasn't using, she does not care about the child at all, why would anyone be so friggin selfish to bring a child in the world that she clearly does not want? Is she that clueless/ dumb question, I guess she must be. Why are people like this? I don't really care if she had a terrible childhood She is old enough to take responsibility for herself, but she won't. This must be the new way criminals behave, there's a similar story everyday in the paper.

I think "dumb" just about sums it up.

The judicial system does not need to let the criminals start quoting on how their sentence is to be served. All that baby is to her is an added income. She can use the prison doctor and then put the baby up for adoption.

1. What makes you think she knows who the father is?

2. These girls today can't remember to take their birth control pill very day...known fact!

3. Chances are she got pregnant thinking it would keep her from jail!
