Asknot.....the fairboard has expenses for the upkeep of the fairgrounds, utilities, etc. How do you expect them to pay for the facilities if you are not charged an entry fee? I board horses at the fairgrounds.....I pay rent but I am quite sure that the rental income they receive does not cover all the expenses that they incur throughout the year. A great deal of people utilitze the fairground throughout the year and it takes money to maintain the facilities.

You people need to remember that the this fair is for the 4H Children to show off their hard work in raising their gardens and animals. Yes, the rides were disappointing and the food was high priced but expecting Ohio State Fair entertainment on a shoe string budget is unfair. If you think the fair needs an upgrade then I suggest you go to the fairboard meetings and give them your ideas as to what would make the fair more to your liking. As for not having many cows in the show this year..times are tough and children are not showing large animals like they used to due to expense, time, etc. We still need to get out and support the children on a job well done.

The fair was beyond horrible. The members of the fair board should be embarrassed. The rides were terrible, they were old and just needed to put in the scrap 100 years ago. Not one worker did a safety check on the kids and the best thing is that one of them was a sex offender! I still cant get over just how bad it was. The only thing was ok was the animals, those kids work hard all year and it showed.

I was there Sunday. I was very disappointed at the agricultural displays. Less than two dozen cattle in the cattle barn. The poultry tent smelled horrible, no animal should have to be there. There were no fans to circulate the air in rabbit and chicken barn, bad for the health of animals. The carnival grounds had not been cleaned up from the day before. As for the food, I did get noodles from the co-op under the skating rink. Don't trust the food from traveling venders. If it wasn't for the fact that I display canned food in the Home Arts building, I wouldn't have gone at all. Very few displays even in that building. I will stick to the Barlow Fair.

The last time I waste my money and time going to this horrible fair. 25 bucks for three with parking? Cheap rides that need to have all the operators tested or fingerprinted. Food prices were jacked up for crappy food that looked like would get you a trip to MMH. So glad Waterfords was good, but will not return to this crap hole, they need to doze the whole fairground and start over.

the fair is just fine. for 8 bucks what do you expect? its cheap fun and and its good to support and reconnect with our collective agricultural roots.

attendance is up and will go up even more if asknot keeps her promise to make this her last year attending the fair.

asknot, A family of four pays $32.00 just to get in gate. Then find out they could have got a cardboard box and slid down there front step and had more fun. lets not forget there was nothing to do unless you like paying $6.50 for a sandwich.
