No Harley I am not bashing anyone who sincerely has undergone a change of heart. I only hope that their opinions are legitimate and not because they dislike the current President. I do recall the verbal abuse I took from people who I had considered to be my friends on my stance regarding the Iraq War. Oh and who forget the venom that gushed from Mr. Limbaugh's mouth ridiculing anyone who dared to disagree with Mr. Bush, Mr. Chaney, Mr. Powell, and Mr. Rumsfeld.

Tessie, good afternoon. first off, i don't think we live in a democracy. i believe we are a representative republic. if you recall, he first went to the united nations, they said no. then he decided to take it upon himself, that did not poll well. only then did he decide to provide himself cover by going to congress. this is a wonderful opportunity to let the rats take care of the rats so to speak. the alledged use of chemical weapons has yet to be conclusively attributed to assad. the rebel fighters have gone on record claiming it was they who were responsible. keep in mind these are the same people that will set up their positions in schools, mosques and civilian areas in which to provide themselves cover. they hardly care about the women and children that are killed or maimed. they are merely propganda tools. president obama has made many glaring mistakes in his presidency and this may prove to be his greatest, should he coninue in "his" path. btw, you may wish to read th

This is what you get when electing bible thumpers..contiued war.WTH makes the US think we are the worlds police.$.88 cents of EVERY dollar in Israel is taken DIRECTLY from the US taxpayer.Between"I am a man of faith" Bush to BHO..Muslim/Wright training..we will be in every conflict on earth while they instill THEIR fears on us while killing our children on foreign soil.

The headline is correct...the people are split. It doesn't say they are split EVENLY! Regarding the poll on the News and Sentinel-the wording on it indicates that our only action will be a WAR. Unless things have changed, the wording that the Senate committee voted on was that there would be "no boots on the ground".

Tessie, first and foremost the news is media, not filtered through it. Second, you seem to be okay with a completely misleading headline. The valley is no where near split on Syria. The Valley, like the rest of the USA, is hugely against involvement in Syria. The poll over at the News and Sentinial is 96% opposed to 4% for.

When the president found out the no one in the free world would back him up on Syria, that is when he decided to put it before Congress, not before he announced he was oging to do it. I guess the Pres will take support from anywhere he can get it now-adays, even the congress.

Our president misplayed his Syria cards like the amateur he is. For some reason he thought that the world would jump on his side on this one forgetting that the world no longer thinks he is a rock star. Putin is treating him as just another political left wing hack not as President of the USA. His press conference at the summit just shows you that without a teleprompter, he is just another talking head. I just hope we don’t go ahead with this because his 30 ish something aides think it will help him “poll” better
