Prisons wouldn't be overcrowded if they actually executed the one's waiting on death row. After sentencing, allow one year to prove innocence, with today's forensics that would be enough time. Then follow out with the sentence. That would rid the prisons of the population problem.

Armybrat. How many inmates in Ohio do you think are on death row? There is one woman and 139 men. There are currently 50,368 inmates in Ohio's prison according to this article. Your solution would free up .002 percent of the overcrowded space that exists.

What percentage of convictions are drug related? I bet the number is staggering. I believe that most people on drugs get started with prescription pain killers. Something needs to be done to better control these drugs. I wonder how much it costs to fly the helicopter around and look for marijuana crops? Maybe we could use our resources more wisely....????
